    About William I'Anson

Beautiful cars and motor racing have been a lifelong passion. William's father Richard set up Tula Engineering the internationally renowned specialists in the restoration of Grand Prix Bugatti. William spent much of his upbringing at some of the greatest race tracks and meetings around the world. As such he has amassed an extensive bank of knowledge of the cars, the market and, most importantly, a wide network of contacts, clients and experts around the globe.

William's first experience of the business came in the early 1990's working with Brooks Auctioneers while studying engineering and working for his father's company. This was followed by a successful career of professional yacht racing, culminating in sailing for the British Americas Cup Team in the 2003 Americas Cup. Finally the cars won and he returned to England to work for leading Auctioneers Bonhams.

From Bonhams William moved to the well-known collector's car dealership Martin Chisholm Collectors Ltd. After a number of enjoyable years with Martin the time came to make the natural progression.

    About Ben Mitchell

Ben's passion for and immersion in racing has also started at a very early age. His father and grandfather before him have both raced and owned vintage cars. Attending his first race meeting at just 10 days old, Ben grew up working with his father at the race circuits. He started karting at eight years old and under the guidance of his father, the deal was that if he wanted to race, then he had to prepare the kart between meetings. As soon as he turned 16 he was out in the family Merlyn Formula Ford and has never looked back.

Ben worked with Simon Hadfield for three years, and during that time he was involved with the preparation, restoration and chassis set up on some of Simon's top clients cars. He has also enjoyed racing a number of exotic cars for clients and even testing with an Indy Lights Series team out in America.

With a keen interest in historic cars, Ben joined the team at William I'Anson Ltd in the beginning of 2015. Going forwards, into and through 2022, Ben continues to be active in racing, enjoying driving historic racing cars of all shapes and sizes. 2021 was a very successful year of racing with Ben taking victory in the Richmond Trophy at the Goodwood Revival in a BRM Type 25, first on track in the Jaguar E-Type 60th Anniversary race at the Silverstone Classic and third overall in the Walter Hayes Trophy for contemporary Formula Fords. Ben is also undertaking an exacting restoration of his own ex-works BMW Lola T102 Formula 2 car.
